REDACTED
Scrap and Soul Studio
They tried to tell her story for her.
Crossed out what made them uncomfortable. Covered what didn’t fit. Edited the complicated parts until only the version they could understand remained.
But a woman is not the pieces other people choose to see.
Behind every mark, every label, every assumption, there is a whole life still speaking.
Some things may be hidden.
Some things may never be explained.
She is not unfinished.
She is REDACTED.
Layered imagery, fragmented text, and sculptural elements partially obscure the figure while simultaneously drawing attention to her presence. REDACTED explores the tension between what is revealed and what is withheld—challenging the assumption that every part of a person’s story is ours to see, interpret, or understand.
